Make no mistake: your pillow is just as important as your mattress for a restorative night’s sleep. It determines the proper position of your head and neck, and aligns your spine with the mattress.

Are you a side sleeper? Then it’s vital that your pillow provides you with a good level of support. The vertebrae of your back and neck need to be properly aligned.

Choosing a pillow: the stomach sleeper

We know you can’t do much about it, but sleeping on your stomach is actually the worst possible position. When you sleep on your stomach, your head is always turned to one side. Which feels unnatural for your neck. A good tip: choose the thinnest possible pillow - or don’t use any pillow at all.
