THE REVOR STORY

Revor stands for Reve D’or or the golden dream, a perfect night’s sleep.
1971

Establishment of Revor, initially as a shop in the Ring Shopping Center in Kuurne, after which the company started to produce quality mattresses. Our first Revor latex mattress caused a revolution in the world of sleep, as it was developed and recommended by doctors and back specialists.

1985

The construction of a new factory in Meulebeke, where we produced our first 100.000 mattresses. During this period, we also launched our first slatted bed base, the “Wimaflex”, the perfect combo with a REVOR mattress, to promote healthy sleep.

1995

Our Revor range was expanded with pocket-sprung mattresses, PU mattresses, a range of ergonomic pillows and custom-made ship mattresses.

2000

Revor was acquired by our current CEO, Jan Maes. The company also started to participate in international trade shows to export its products to Germany, France and the Netherlands.

2002

Revor becomes the third sponsor of the Marlux-Revor bicycle racing team. In 2004, Dave Bruylandts came third in the Tour of Flanders. This boosted the brand’s international reputation.

2006

Our first range of divan beds, in dozens of colours and models, the new trend from Scandinavia, was launched on the Belgian market.

2007

“Synchroline”, our first customisable and personally adjustable slatted bed base, was launched.

2009

Revor won the Balthazar award for the most innovative product at the Brussels furniture trade show for its I-Sleep concept. I-sleep is the first comfort sleep range, with electro smog eliminating properties, causing a revolution in the world of sleep.

2009

Revor became the second sponsor of the Sunweb-Revor cyclocross team. In the following years, Kevin Pauwels and Klaas Vantournout won over 40 races.

2010

Revor launches a new range of deluxe, hand-made divan beds after acquiring the Styldecor brand.

2012

A collaboration with Hungary created a sufficient amount of capacity on the very fast-growing divan bed market. In 2014, the site was renamed REVOR International.

2017

Revor merges with Jaritex to form the Revor Group. The separate brands continue to exist. The group evolves to a turnover of over 40 million and a workforce of 270 employees.

Revor and Jaritex jointly work on their future, moving to new, modern premises in Kuurne.

We continue to work tirelessly every day to improve our customer’s sleep.
