Revor Group wins EcoVadis Gold as the first mattress manufacturer

Silver was already nice. But when you've been making beds since 1972, you know there's always room to lie a little better. In September 2026, we at Revor Group, a manufacturer of box springs and mattresses from Kuurne (West Flanders, Belgium), earned an EcoVadis gold medal. That makes us the first mattress manufacturer with this recognition. And we didn't sit still: in October 2026, we also signed the Green Deal Value Chains of the Flemish government.

Revor Group wins EcoVadis Gold

In short

  • Who: Revor Group, manufacturer of box springs and mattresses in Kuurne, Belgium
  • What: EcoVadis gold medal in September 2026, as the first mattress manufacturer
  • Also: signatory of the Green Deal Value Chains of the Flemish government
  • Approach: fully circular products and sustainability as the starting point for every product we develop

What is an EcoVadis gold medal?

EcoVadis is an international platform that independently rates companies on four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. So it's not a report we wrote ourselves, but a critical look from the outside. Gold is reserved for the top 5% of all rated companies. Curious? Our recognition is publicly available on the EcoVadis recognition page.

Why does EcoVadis Gold matter to us?

For us, sustainability isn't a project with a start and end date. It's simply the way we've been working for years. It's good to have an independent party confirm in black and white that this approach works. Still, we don't see a medal as the finish line. More like an alarm clock saying: time for the next step.

How do we make sustainable box springs and mattresses at Revor?

Every new box spring and mattress starts with the same question: how do we make this well, for today and for later? From the very first design, we look at the materials, the lifespan and what happens when a product retires after many years of loyal service. That's how we already bring fully circular products to market today. Belgian craftsmanship, with a plan for tomorrow.

What is the Green Deal Value Chains, and why are we taking part?

The Green Deal Value Chains is a three-year initiative of the Flemish government to make value chains more sustainable and more resilient. It started on 15 October 2026.

Why are we on board? A large part of a mattress's impact arises before it even reaches our production site in Kuurne: in the raw materials, the suppliers and the transport. That's not something you tackle alone. Together with our suppliers, we map that impact and take concrete steps, with attention to the environment and to the people working in the chain.

What does this mean if you choose a Revor bed?

You don't buy a bed for one season, but for years. So you want to know where it comes from. Choosing a box spring or mattress from Revor means choosing a manufacturer that has its sustainability checked by an independent party, and earned gold for it. You sleep comfortably, with peace of mind as a bonus. And that just feels a little better.
